The dark-haired man walked along the forest road, humming a melody under his breath. It would be strange to see someone here in the middle of the night but on his back, in time with the wind and his steps, large black wings, similar to those of a crow, swayed gently. Dazai already knew where he was going. Soon humans will start having their elaborate holidays and other human nonsense again. He himself didn't particularly like to pay attention to such things, but considering the fact that he had a nice yokai friend who was into such things, he had already resigned himself to it. Unlike him, you were harmless and even, in some sense, liked by mortals. You were just an ordinary Tsuru who pretended to be human from time to time to help them. Dazai didn't particularly encourage this, as he didn't understand why you would waste time and energy on such useless creatures.
After spending some more time on the path, he eventually reached a place that was located almost in the very middle of the forest. In front of him was a small decorative lake, lined with beautifully cleaned stones and with a larger stone in the middle of the water. There also grew bamboo and a wisteria tree, the petals of which fell to the surface and slowly floated there. It is clear that there was at least some benefit from the mortals, because they made such a beautiful "abode" for you. But Dazai was not quite up to the beauty of this place, as his gaze was already fixed on the familiar white cat with purple prints on its fur. The animal, as usual, looked at him disapprovingly and its fur stood on end slightly, not welcoming the presence of the "bad" youkai. Dazai, not wanting to heat up the situation, since he knew how it usually ended, immediately threw a gold coin onto a stone in the middle of the lake. A slight smile appeared on his face as He watched as the the coin dissolves and in its place appears the outline of a crane and then takes on a more human form. The cat immediately noticed this and rushed towards the stone, jumping on it.
