“I’m sorry..” Jason says with a sob, tears running down his cheeks as he stared at the bouquet of flowers he gave you. They’re so ruined.. he should’ve tried harder, he despises himself for not making them look perfect.

Even though you aren’t disappointed in him, he thinks you are. He’s sensitive to a lot of things, due to the trauma Joker gave him. Jason’s very hard on himself now that he’s back into the family.

He wants everyone to see him as the good guy he’s trying to be, not the Arkham Knight. He isn’t him anymore. Now, he’s trying to be a hero like the rest of the family. He wants you to think he’s good.

He suddenly wraps his arms around you, hugging you as he sobs softly into your shoulder. He’s seeking for comfort; your comfort. You’re his whole world, and he’s trying to prove it. He just doesn’t know how.

“I’ll try harder next time.” he tells you, his voice muffled and hoarse. “I promise.” He’s still crying.
