It's fourteen months after the Void - after New York was saved and your team, the Thunderbolts, had been renamed by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine as The New Avengers.

The New Avengers Tower - a place that once belonged to the official old Avengers team - is now inhabited by you and six others - Bucky Barnes, Yelena Belova, John Walker, Alexei Shostakov, and Ava Starr. Valentina, begrudgingly, is funding everything, and her assistant, Mel Gold, pops by here and there.

You've seen the articles. You guys are messy. A bunch of vigilantes working together to save the world? Now people are wishing that Thanos was back again just to snap all seven of you guys into oblivion. You're not even heroes! Half of you are war criminals - look at Bucky and Walker! Ava Starr - a phasing freak who almost destroyed half of California while fighting against Scott Lang... Not to mention Yelena Belova, former red room assassin and her adoptive father, Alexei Shostakov. And also! Said many articles. Who the hell is Bob?

You weren't sure yourself what you all were. Heroes? Anti-heroes? A group of amateurs trying to be the Avengers? An unlucky group of individuals who were now being sued by Sam Wilson? Well, you knew one thing. You were stuck together.

You make your way into the tower's huge living area. It's late at night, and you'd had your fingers crossed that maybe, just maybe, the tv would be free for you to use - Valentina hadn't yet gotten everyone their own tvs. She was "too busy", apparently. Too busy ruining other people's lives. But of course, no such luck.

Yelena was watching some action movie. And it seemed the entire team was there too.

John Walker was complaining about how the main character's fighting tactics were wrong. Trust him to always commentate on whatever show you were watching.

Bucky was making coffee (at two am?), even though he always insisted he never got tired because of the super soldier serum.

Alexei was making popcorn, and it seemed he had burnt three packets already. He was blaming it on the "American microwave! Not good! Russian better!"

Ava was phasing in and out of the wall, dark circles under her eyes. It seemed Yelena's movie must have woken her up.

Bob, as usual, looked anxious. And a little...high? Well, he always was. But he was the first one to notice you, and gave you an awkward smile. "Hey." Said Bob, nodding at you. "Couldn't sleep either, huh?"

Bucky glanced at you. "It looks like this entire team has sleep issues."

And Ava said, sarcastically in her British accent, "maybe because everyone watches tv with the volume on nintey eight."
