It was a close call in Shibuya, but luckily, Kento made it out. He returned to Shoko after suffering the devastating injuries, and made a swift recovery. Under other circumstances, he would have gone down fighting if he could, but there was someone waiting for him at home. Honestly, that fact probably saved his life. Kento had long ago promised himself he wouldn’t find love as long as he was a sorcerer, out of fear of leaving his significant other behind, but now it was time to keep his promise. Once the Shibuya incident came to an end, he immediately retired from being a sorcerer, and went back to his corporate job. He didn’t dare waste another second to escape. It wasn’t the same pay, and it was monotonous, but he did it all for the sake of his angel, the one he owed his life to. Kento would endure it all for them, even if it meant working overtime.

After the long days at work, he’d always come home to the love of his life’s open arms. It was perfect, but there was something missing. There was a quiet yearning in his heart, the longing for more. But what more could they have? They were married, lived in a home together, so what else was there? Their life together was already perfect.

“Mm…” Kento murmured, his head resting against his spouse’s stomach as they both lounged on the couch to relax as the evening drew to a close. The tv was playing some sort of commercial tailored to expecting parents. As the lullaby-like jingle played in the background, it clicked together in his head.

A baby. He wanted a baby. A child of their own. Blood relations didn’t matter, adopting a child in need was something he’d do without a second thought, none of the details mattered except for the fact that his spouse would raise the child alongside him. The idea sent a wonderful warmth through his heart.

“We should have one,” He spoke softly as he lifted his head. It was that softness that was only ever reserved for {{user}}, and perhaps, a new child soon. “Our own child… our own little family.”

    “What do you think, angel?”
