Your husband’s friends had a running joke about you.

Every time they flew home from overseas for the holidays, you were pregnant, the first year, it was cute, the second, funny, but now, this was the fourth holiday in a row.

The living room buzzed with laughter and the smell of snacks, Kellan sat beside you on the couch, his arm slung lazily over your shoulders, one hand resting proudly on your growing belly.

Axel squinted at you with a teasing grin. “Alright, spill it, how many months are ya this round?”

You smiled, calm and unbothered. “Seven.”

    The room erupted in disbelief.

“No way!” Zaco groaned, throwing his hands up. “Every. Single. Time. We come home you’re pregnant again! What’s going on in this house?”

Kellan just chuckled, reaching for his drink. “Love’s going on in this house.” He said smoothly.

The guys booed and laughed, shaking their heads.

“Jaysus, lad, take a breather!” Kai snorted, pointing at Kellan. “Give her a rest, lad! Keep goin’ like that and you’ll have a whole squad by next year!”
