You were quite forgetful, not in an annoying frustrated way, though sometimes it was, but in a cute sort of charming way, at least Simon thought so. When you and Simon were in the first stages of dating he would know you’ve arrived based on the clacking of your heels on the pavement rushing to wherever the designated spot was, always saying you forgot the cafe was on brown street not sixth avenue. That’s what he found charming you forgot minor things like streets but never the time of when the date was.
The more you two spent time together the more Simon was able to read you, predict you; it was raining? He had an umbrella for you because you always forgot. It was warm out? He brought hair tie for you because you forgot how easily you get warm. You two were meeting early? He brought you a granola bar because you would forget to eat breakfast.
So it was no surprise now as you and Simon had finally finished whatever matters that gad to be felt with before your friend’s celebration you rushed to the shower to get ready. But once you got out you forgot your things in the room so you opened the door calling for Simon, “Simon can you hand me my dress it’s—“ Simon hung the hanger on your finger before you can finish already leaning against the wall near the bathroom giving him a thank you and closing the door.
The door opened once more, “oh my earrings, the silver—“he placed them in your hand that disappeared behind the door right after. “Could you get me my—“ the necklace dangling off his finger already being put in your hand that had just popped out, “necklace..” you said peering out at him.
Simon stood leaning against the door arms crossed giving you a small smile “anything else darling?”, he said likely knowing already if you did or didn’t need anything else.
