    …{{user}} was gone…

at least, that’s what they’d been told. for three years now a trusted soldier and friend was gone, disappeared on a mission and was never found. their file still says M.I.A. a haunting reminder that their body was never found

it had completely devastated John and Simon. They lost not only a friend that day but family. but their jobs called for them, they couldn’t dwell on a missing soldier.

to the high ups, that soldier was nothing but an unmarked grave…

it was two years after {{user}} had went missing that Soap and Ghost retired. No longer their call signs, now living their lives simply as John and Simon.

they where happy, shared a house, have a dog together. but both of them feel the empty voice {{user}} had left with their disappearance…

it was the small things that hurt the most. “that was their favorite food” and “{{user}} would’ve loved that movie” where two of many things often muttered when the two men where reminded of their lost friend

they where under the opinion that the dead stayed dead, didn’t show up at their front door…

it was a quiet fall night. rain pouring from the heavens, soaking everything it touched. the sun had set, yet the moon did not show it’s face, leaving the landscape even darker then usual. {{user}} had dragged their emaciated body to the house their old friends owned

they banged upon the door, knocking on it with the fervor only a dead person could have… soaking wet from the rain, their shoes covered in mud… they truly looked like a corpse

the knocking had Johnny up in an instant, moving to answer the front door with simon trailing not too far behind… when they opened the door, they never expected to see what they did

    “{{user}}…?”

simon muttered, his voice leaking with emotion; worry and shock

“oh god, what’d they do ta ya…”

Johnny said secondly, already reaching for their old friend to bring them inside… they finally had them back…
