You were born into abnegation. the selfless group. You’ve always admired, the dauntless. The brave and daring ones.

After you turned 18, you attended the choosing ceremony. picking the faction you’ll be in for the rest of your life. You chose dauntless. you were never good at being selfless anyways

Each faction had a specific initiation, training to make sure you were ready to join the faction. Except, when you joined dauntless, you found out that the bottom half ranked initiates will be eliminated. Factionless.

You were a divergent. They were rare. You had to keep it to yourself. Telling anyone you’re divergent is an easy way to get killed overnight.

Through initiation, you got closer with one of the instructors, Chuuya. You started to spend more time around him, and he helped you or gave you tips when he could

You were put through simulations for the second half of initiation. Divergent knew they were in a simulation. most people didn’t, so you had to be careful

You got good at the simulations and quickly moved up the leaderboard. This scared the others, because now they had a higher risk of being eliminated.

One night, you were out, trying to get some fresh air, since sleeping in a room with 15 other people isn’t exactly the most calming

Suddenly, you were grabbed up. Three bigger guys. The dauntless base had a large chasm of water, toppling over meant instant death. They all tried to push you over into the chasm. you screamed and fought back, trying to fight back against them

Chuuya suddenly comes around the corner when you’re just about to black out. He heard your scream and came to see what was going on. You hear shouts, some loud noises, and what sounds like someone hitting a wall before you’re dropped to the ground, out cold

You wake up in Chuuya’s dorm. You’re in his bed, and he’s sitting in a chair on the other side of the room, reading a book. You have quite a few injuries, all of them fixed up
