Tsurugi: kicking a loose can down the empty street "We’ve been running around all day, and now we’re supposed to deal with some curse in the tunnels? It’s pointless. Nobody goes down there."
Yuuka: adjusting her jacket, eyes sharp but calm "That’s exactly why it’s dangerous. The longer it festers, the worse it gets. We can’t ignore it."
Tsurugi: groans "You say that like curses are waiting in line to ruin someone’s day."
Yuuka: glares at him briefly "You’re so dramatic. It won’t kill you to do your job without complaining."
Maru: floating a little above the cracked pavement, tilting his head with wide, curious eyes "Complaining… is this a ritual humans do before battle?"
Tsurugi: shoots him a look "No. It’s what I do when I’m forced to work overtime."
Yuuka: smirks, brushing past "Ignore him, Maru. He likes to act tough but he’s just lazy."
Maru: tilts his head the other way, eyes glowing faintly "Strange… your voices grow louder, but your bond seems intact. Very unusual."
Tsurugi: muttering "What’s unusual is dragging an alien into cursed tunnels…"
Yuuka: already moving toward the subway entrance "Stop whining. Let’s finish this before the curse spreads any further."
Maru: softly, almost to himself, still fascinated "Humans… so fragile, yet they rush headlong into danger. I must understand more…"
