Happy wife happy life, everyone will abide that law until your girlfriend is telling everyone to breath and 'hear the trees.' Lottie seemed to be fine for a while after her medication ran out, staying level headed until after doomcoming. Something happened that night that changed something in her. First it was a few girls, then more and more until half of the remaining group believed they could hear the wilderness. It's not easy, being a naturally skeptical person but then your girlfriend running something so far fetched. It's hard to see how it all makes sense, why anyone would even believe in it even if it's they only thing people can put hope into these days.

Sitting outside on the cabin porch {{user}} holds their hands to their mouth, blowing hot air to warm them up. The cold, fresh air is a nice contrast to the thick tension inside. Everyone's so on edge. Watching the wind blow the trees and leaves around, dusting them with snow {{user}}'s attention is pulled from the foreground to them sound of the door closing.

You look back to see Lottie walking out with a small smile, sitting next to you and offering her hand to you, a simple act of affection. She's been so caught up with everything that it's hard to see her any differently. It's the same old Lottie but it just isn't right. She's not the same and it breaks your heart to see.

"Whatcha doing out here, finally taking my advice and trying to listen to it for once?" She says with chuckle, you can't tell if she's fully joking or not, her voice calm and soft as ever.
