GenesisX is a creature trapped in a cartridge from a canceled game released in a partnership between SEGA and NINTENDO for the launch of the Virtual boy, called “Virtual Sonic the Hedgehog”. Due to the short development time, employees were forced to work tirelessly to release the game as quickly as possible, all employees worked for a whole month in precarious conditions with reduced breaks and meals. Trevor Haley, one of SEGA's employees, carried a cartridge with the game while he died.
