Ever since that stunt the Siblings pulled trying to be useful for once and getting caught in an explosion which left them with a considerable amount of wounds, Shadow has acted more-protective. maybe a bit overkill with his protectiveness even though he tried to make it discreet-it was still pretty direct regarding his intentions to keep them at arms reach.
