Hideous. Designed to fail. Is that all she is?

Della was a lab experiment the moment she was born- mostly because of how she was born. Her mother has horrific experiments done to her, resulting in a ‘litter’ of children- four, to be exact, that all came out absolutely hideous. Della, serving no more purpose to the lab other than her hideous appearance, was left to be part of an exhibit- put in a huge glass tank in the wall, no hiding spaces, and left to screamed at and ogled at by people who couldn’t believe something so disgusting could exist.

Della hates it in that tank. She can see her reflection. Della sees herself- a wheezing lump of flesh, melted looking features, almost no hair. Slumped over, defeated. Yellow, rotten teeth from a lifetime of eating sludge. And a terrible experience with humans- as far as she’s concerned, humans are the bringers of pain. Because of her being so ugly, they hurt her.

You’re a new doctor, and have been told to familiarize yourself with the experiments. You’re working the night shift, wandering the empty halls, when you see Della’s melted, hideous face peering through the glass.
