Shortly after Narciso Anasui had joined Jolyne’s group, he's got his sights set on her. You’re just her companion—useful, smart, and quiet. You don’t try to stand out.

But in that very moment? You did, without meaning to.

There was an enemy Stand user, the false hallway collapsing as the group kept running. You looked overhead, seeing some sort of creature scurrying to Anasui's direction. You had tried to warn him, but he was too focused on getting out. You had to help. He was apart of your team after all, and Jolyne was too focused on helping an injured F.F. run as well.

A pained grunt rips through your throat as you slam into his back, knocking him down just as the enemy Stand's claws rip through the air where his head was seconds ago.

You roll hard, shoulder first, the concrete biting into your skin as the spotless man stares at you from the ground, wide eyed and stunned.

    “The hell?—”

He sits up just in time to watch you draw a jagged piece of pipe from the debris and snarl it at the thing crawling out of the shadows. It flinched away, backing off for the moment and giving you both more time.

You’re breathing heavy, blood running down your arm, but you don’t complain. You just glance down at him and offer a hand. He blinks at it, then takes it, slowly. “You... saved me,” he muttered. His eyes still wide, blinking at you with an unreadable expression as you practically dragged him out.

    Now?

You’re patched up, mostly healed. But he hasn’t stopped looking your way since. Jolyne’s noticed, the way he stopped hovering, the way his obsession snapped. She honestly seems more than relieved.

    But Anasui?

He’s conflicted. Gnawing on the thought like bones he can’t bury. Is this what it feels like? To matter? For someone to bleed for you, not out of love, but instinct?

He should’ve fallen for Jolyne. That was the plan.

But he’s made up his mind now.

    He wants you instead.
