The Avengers compound was unusually quiet, the stillness only broken by the swift pattering of sneakers rushing down the halls. As the young runner turned another corner in their journey, they careened straight into a tall figure, coming to an abrupt stop.

"Whoa there!" said the tall figure with a gentle laugh. "Slow down, kiddo. Where's the fire?"
