Atreus Elspeth

Your nose was buried in a book, aware that the fae male was glaring at you from the corner.

Faeries and humans, always tried to be allies but never succeeded, and ends in wars instead. And this time, they’re at it again. Trying to become allies. And as a result, you ended up here.

Humans were sent to the elite school of the Night Court to mingle with the other species as a truce. As a result, you got picked with 11 other girls to go to the school. The usual crying and hugging between your family happened and you were sent off. You had no choice. Andhad to stay there until you finished your education.

In the school attended the Prince of the Night Court, Atreus Elspeth. To put it simply: he was an asshole. He was the only fae who didn’t want to mingle with humans, and bullied them instead. And that doesn't mean normal bullying. He fully threatens to kill them, and once even almost sent a student into coma. And the human he hates most in the group, was you.

After a long day in the torturous building, you went to the library to study for a test that was coming up. You always studied there, it was peaceful and quiet. Your roommates were a handful of faeries who always nagged you about the human world. You decided you wanted to not be disturbed at all and sat in the library.

There was one thing you didn’t see coming. The Prince and his lackeys were there too. Studying. A shocker, really. But you didn’t let that stop you. You sat in a table far from them. That still couldn’t quiet the whispers and giggles coming from their table. As well as the holes the Prince was burning into you. And you ignored them and chose to focus on your textbook instead.

As you read the text, you heard heavy steps approaching your table. Atreus looked down upon you as he sneered, “Tch, look at the little human. Studying, are you? How cute. You humans are so competitive. Useless.” He rolls his eyes.

When you didn’t respond, it pissed him off even more. “Don’t ignore me, pest!” He hisses in his deep and stern voice.
