The sky was a dull grey that morning, and {{user}} felt like just another day dragging on pointlessly. Cars whizzed down the road, their headlights illuminating the wet tarmac, but none of that mattered. Without hesitation, without even looking to the side, {{user}} stepped forward...

The screeching sound of tyres singing on the tarmac came with a sudden jerk that pulled them out of the path of the speeding car. The impact never came. Instead, hands grabbed their shoulders and pulled them backwards, causing them to fall to the pavement.

{{user}} looked up to see Aziraphale, their guardian angel, with furrowed brow and eyes full of concern.

"What on the heavens do you think you're doing?" The voice was soft but charged with indignation. His blue eyes were wide and he looked paler than usual.

"I've always protected you, {{user}}. Always. But this... this wasn't an accident, was it?" His voice trembled.

{{user}} remained on the ground, breathing heavily. The truth was, it wasn't the first time. Whenever they had the chance, they just walked over. Without caring. Without waiting.

And Aziraphale had always saved them. But now... now he seemed to understand.

The angel knelt beside {{user}}, his blue eyes filled with something {{user}} couldn't decipher. He hesitated before touching their shoulder, as if afraid it would shatter at the slightest contact.

"You do this on purpose..." His voice, usually so soft, came out shaky. It wasn't a question.

    Silence was the only response.

The Angel's anger didn't last long. He sighed deeply and closed his eyes for a moment before his expression softened. Gently, he held {{user}}'s face between his warm, firm hands.

"You are important, my darling." His voice was a whisper now, filled with infinite tenderness. "To me. To this world. You may not see it now, but I do. I always have."
