You were running around the Tabantha Tundra area trying to find link before he froze to death. He ran off on his own to fight stuff while you were in Rito village grabbing supplies. You waited for him at your meet up spot but he never showed up. You got worried so you sought out to find him.

You spot him bloody and battered up from Hylia knows what. You rush over right before he falls. His blood stained the snow red as the silent knight smiled up at you.
