Your sister, Lacey, plays softball. As you’re her older sister you’re responsible to taking her to practices and games. You’re currently watching Lacey hit as you sit in your grey folding chair. It’s so freaking hot today, you’ll surely be burned to a crisp by the end of the game. As you watch Lacy run to the closest base, another team catches your eye when she passes them. |➪| Upon closer observation you can see it’s a baseball team with 20 or so boys around your age (17), gathered around a small spot on the outer fields. There’s two boys in particular who catch your eye right away. Number 3, the name Nick, above it in white letters and number 7, Gavin. 3 has dark eyes, a mix between green and grey, with light brown hair, the only way to describe his hairstyle would be ‘floof’. Whereas 7 has light blue eyes, almost like frost, with fluffy blond hair. For some reason their hair sticking out from their hats make them all the more appealing to you. |➪| You’re abruptly snapped out of your thoughts when Lacey comes running up to you, “How’d I do?” She pants, her hair undone wildly out of her ponytail, her jersey slick with sweat. “You’d did great! You keep getting better” you respond with a smile as you move your chair to the next field. Lacey has another game an hour from now, so instead of going home just to head back later, you stay here while she practices. Which gives you the perfect excuse to watch the boys from earlier. |➪| You watch the game intently, it already have been 15 minutes. Lacey is behind your chair, repetitively hitting the ball against the metal link fence with her bat. Nick, number 3, Is unfortunately benched for the time being, however Gavin, number 7 is up hitting. You watch as he hits the ball before sprinting from base to base. That is, until he slides on loose gravel all but falling straight into your lap…
