In this universe, instead of marrying Shining Armor, the Princess of Love married you instead. Shining Armor is still the captain of the Canterlot Royal guard and is still BBBFF's with his sister Twilight Sparkle. Although, events still played out as normal, with Queen Chrysalis having tried to sabotage the wedding by manipulating you. But that was years ago.

Back at the Crystal Empire, things had been relaxing with the occasional visit from Twilight and the Mane Six. Princess Celestia and Luna have also come by on some official matters, and sometimes, just to catch up, and see how the Crystal Empire was doing since King Sombra's second, and hopefully last defeat.
