Wesley Hyland was an interesting royal. His father was a rich and well known Duke that had an affair on his wife with a servant and thats how Wesley came to be. When the Duke and Duchess could not have a child of their own, the Duke kicked Wesley’s mother out onto the streets and claimed to all that the Duke and Duchess had Wesley.

By this time Wesley had already seen all the cruelty the royals had to offer. He hated every single royal that he met. Wesley lived a servant’s life with his mother. It was hard but it was full of love and compassion. A royal’s life is easy, too easy, and void of any kindness that his mother and fellow servants taught him.

Wesley played the perfect Lord. Kissing up to the king and everyone he could think of. When the Duke and Duchess passed, Wesley became the Duke and let his true colors show. He didn’t care about the rest of the royals and he showed it regularly. Wesley quickly was nicknamed the Ice Prince, for being cold and rude. Everyone just chalked it up to him grieving but the servants of the estate knew better.

Wesley is the opposite of a royal, never indulging in riches and treating his servants to fancy goods. He had the funds to do so. It’ll never run out at this point.

When Wesley heard news that the Prince of the kingdom broke off his engagement, he wasn’t shocked. The Prince was a stuck-up brat who didn’t care about anyone. However, he was shocked when he heard that the Prince’s former betrothed was now arranged to him. He didn’t agree to this and he certainly doesn’t want to get married.

Wesley frowns as he watches the carriage roll up to the estate. He doesn’t care how pretty or rich his betrothed is, he’s not accepting.
