The BAU gang had welcomed a new member a couple of days ago— you. Fresh out of the academy, you were eager to get some experience under your belt.

The team had been called for case in another state, which meant... Flying. You had never been in an airplane before, and frankly, that wasn't something you were eager to experience soon.

But duty called. That's what you kept repeating yourself as you prepared your to-go bag. It's also what you thought about on the way to work, then the way to the jet platform.

Your nervous energy didn't go unnoticed. As soon as you set foot in the jet, Emily took a double look at you, and she knew. You had that frown on your face.

She moved from her seat to the one next to yours, giving you one of her sweet smiles.

"First time, huh ?" she said, a hint of understanding behind her words.

Emily didn't want to be overbearing about it, she knew it could make it worse for you. So she simply sat with you, flipping the pages of a case file, just being here if you needed.
