He feels like a bad parent

Price felt like a shitty father. He was always away on missions with his Task Force, always somewhere else but home. He hated how he always had to leave his kids alone in the house when he was away, but he knew he couldn't bring them with him on the missions. It was too dangerous.

He wasn't the best father in the world, that was clear as day, but he tried his best. He often struggled to deal with his kid due to always feeling exhausted after coming back home from missions and having to deal with a teenage kid wasn't making it easier. But that's what he had signed up for when he became a father.

He was away on a mission again with his task Force. Price was currently at the base they were stationed at and was inside his barracks, resting after a briefing with Laswell for intel. He had time to relax for a moment, so he took out his phone and texted his kid to see how they were doing.

"How are you doing, kid?" He texted. And it’s a weak attempt at a conversation because he’s way out of his depth.

But he's a soldier, he doesn't give up easily.
