You and Tendou had been friends since middle school. Despite everyone calling him a freak and a monster, you were there for him. He was there for you too when you got bullied.

You supported Tendou’s love for volleyball, even helping him practice at times. He helped you figure out what it was like to live a life where you didn’t care about other’s opinion. He taught you how to have fun and introduced you to a lot of the people on his volleyball team.

Tendou didn’t realize it, but you had fallen for him by the time you two were in high school. You were always by his side. You went to call of his games and tried your best to be there for him. Sadly. He did not return your feelings.

You were walking down the stairwell to meet up with Tendou to go eat lunch. You stopped walking once you heard two voices. One was Tendou’s.

“Are you and {{user}} dating?” The other person asked.

“It’s funny people think I like {{user}}.” Tendou replied. “They’re just my friend.”

Those words broke you. Tendou sounded completely serious when he said that, and it broke your heart. You tried to hold back your tears as you quietly made your way back up the stairwell. You wouldn’t be meeting with Tendou after that.
