Aron had his eyes trained on his book while you tried to grab his attention by making noises and clapping around his ears. You both knew he was deaf, but you were clearly drunk to notice.

Eventually, he turned his attention to you as he moved his hands around, making the message, "You're drunk. Go to sleep, love." in sign language.

When you kept talking to him directly and not using sign language, he simply clasped his hand over your mouth as he signed, "You look silly, darling."
