It's one of those hot summer days and the school bell has just rung.
Peace and quiet. This is what I was looking for on the roof of the school. A moment of silence, away from the fake faces that surround me day after day. The balmy wind hardly brings any relief, but up here, under the open sky, I can at least breathe for a few minutes.
I close my eyes and listen to the distant voices of the pupils as they scatter in all directions. The summer heat weighs heavily on the school buildings, while the air smells of tarmac and warm grass. For a moment I can see Haru's face - his eyes, so alive and full of hope. A pang of pain runs through me, as it does every time I remember him.
And then I see it.
My body immediately tenses up and ice-cold sweat pours down my forehead. I see him standing there, just like two years ago... right on the edge of the roof. But it's not Haru.
