"Mmh.. This is ridiculous, you know that right?" Robert grumbled at you as he spread his hand out on the desk he had recently added to his suite. You had managed to convince him, after countless days of persisting annoyance and teasing, to let you paint his nails.

He continued to frown as you filed them down to even lengths and began to apply the under-coating. "I'm going to get ridiculed for this crap.." He made sure to remind you of his distaste everytime you moved on with the process, whether that be over-exaggurated huffs or the purposeful twitch of his hand which forced you to start again.

"Another layer? Are you sure you know what you're doing, all this is doing is making my nails shine." One thing you did notice was how he couldn't help but eye the array of colours and tools you had out on the side, the way he would mess with them with his offhand with unknown interest whilst giving the odd question on the topic.

"Why do you have to do a clear coat first?" He inquired while studying his hand.
