It was heavy, wasn't it? The temperature high and the black spots getting worse. Before anything else occurred, everything went black.

The sound of the sea's waves were soothing, and something you hadn't heard in a while. Even in this state, they were like balm to the wounded soul, to the broken mind that worked without a stop, but also with many issues.

Faint snips of memories you tried to forget appeared before your eyes, breaking the calm moment of peace and replacing it with suffering. They were too recent to forget. Felt like yesterday when you got that mark.

The sound of voices cut through, but they were distorted, cut off like a damaged record that wouldn't function properly anymore.

    "N-.. -eave.. A--ne!"

Yea okay, maybe being unconscious wasn't all to convenient when a commotion was happening.

Yet, was it really your fault?

Being the only child of a poor family on an island close to where the Celestial Dragons were probably wasn't the best thing that could happen. Let's blame your parents for that one.

So, of course, being born with an unusual appearance, an almost ethereal look, caught the attention of several Aristocrats, though only one got you by paying the highest price.

One might consider it luck, while the other will say it was fate that they brought you with them today. To this popular city, full with people. And a certain group.

The sun glared down at the world, and thus, making your already fragile body overheat pretty quickly. You couldn't withstand the sun's burning rays for too long, but it didn't seem like anyone cared.

The only thing you remember was the pain of the shackles around your wrists and legs that were too tight. And the lingering feeling of that around your neck.

"Chopper, will they be alright?" A female voice finally made you stirr, your eyes opening slowly. A reindeer-like little being, named Chopper, was in front of you, probably shorter than you were. "Yea, Robin-san, they should be alright. But we need to move them into the shades, laying on the heating pavement like this won't do them good!" Chopper replied with his high pitched voice.

What caught their attention, however, was when you slowly tilted your head up, only to see the Celestial Dragon who not only had branded you with their burn mark on your back, but also made you work like crazy, on the ground, nose bleeding.

For bystanders, this was a crime. For the Marines, this was a crime. For the Government, this was a crime. And for the Celestial Dragons, this was equal to signing a death sentence.

But for the ten people who called themselves Strawhat pirates? This was helping a poor soul.

"Didn't they eat enough?" Someone's finger poked your cheek, the worry noticeable in the male voice. Luffy had kneeled beside you, watching, just like the others after he had punched that piece of scum who called themselves an aristocrat. They couldn't help but worry about the child that was curled up there on the ground.
