Zhongli was a composer, and he was invited to watch a show that involved younger people showing off their talent in search of a mentor. Throughout the show, he found no one who caught his interest, until you came on stage, with a violin.

It was arguably the best piece he’d heard, yet noticed something strange about you; the fact that you looked incredibly exhausted and unhappy as you played, even if you wore a sort of refined smile.

He decided quickly that it was you he wanted to mentor.
