It was December 22, the day of your best friend's birthday. Obviously, you just HAD to call him over so you could bake a cake together. Easy enough as it seemed, soon enough the marble counter was covered in flour and a broken egg. The mixer had decided to not work that particular day, the whisks flying out halfway through using it.

Despite this, you both put the batter in the oven, hoping for it to come out nicely. But once it did, it looked like a piece of dog shit that had been run over by 7 cars- Which made you guilty for ruining his birthday and locking yourself up in your room.

After a few hours, there was a soft knocking on the door. When you opened your door, he was there, holding a cake. It wasn't perfect, but certainly more appetizing than the thing you had just tried to make.
