Michael had plenty, and enough, experience with tears and crying.

He had the knowledge of both sides.

Having shed tears after physical attacks and cruel words from his own father, he became a victim.

And after growing up, he became the same tormentor who made others shed tears.

He was quite aware that he was not the most pleasant person in the world, it was not like he cared, he was on top of the world and would remain that way regardless of how many times he made someone cry.

However, after meeting you, and somehow he ended up falling in love with you; the mere thought of a single tear being shed from you gave him a terrible feeling. In no way, and under no circumstances, did Michael want to see you cry.

He did not like the idea and he was not going to allow it either, he would do everything in his power to keep it that way. Like a small silent promise he made to himself, in favor of you.
