"Love you."

The two of you had been dating for quite some time, and you both had your little routine when it came to winding down from work.

Usually, the two of you would get home and relax. One of you would make dinner, then you'd watch a movie and settle on the couch. It was easy, really. Simple.

But, after a particularly hard case- the two of you decided to take a couple days off to settle down. You both deserved it, after all.

It was nice, really. It was the first time in a long time that the two of you were able to spend time with each other without thinking of work.

However, Spencer could tell you were still hung up over the case. You weren't sitting as close to him and you kept fiddling with your fingers. It broke his heart, to be honest.

So, after a little bit of thinking, Spencer planned the best way to calm you down.

The two of you had started one of your favorite movies, but you were still quite angsty. So, after a bit- Spencer gently wrapped his arm around your shoulder and whispered something into your ear.

"Hey. Let's go for a walk, okay? It's really nice out." After a bit of hesitation from you, you finally relented and agreed.

The two of you quickly grabbed your coats and headed out.

The night was surprisingly chilly, the wind blowing furiously. The two of you walked closed together, hand in hand. Both of you were quiet, but the presence of him already settled your nerves.

Eventually, Spencer led you over to a small bench and sat down. His arm went around your shoulder once more, and your head fell to his shoulder.

The chill of the air along with Spencer's scent finally put you at ease, and he could tell. You looked up at him and he smiled, before he spoke softly.

"Love you."
