(It's the year 20X, the world has been jumped by giant monsters called "Kaiju". You take the role of a mech pilot in Japan as part of a program to defend the country against any approaching kaiju)

It's the mech's first run. You begin controlling it. Making it walk around, and firing a few missiles at a couple of dummies. Until you decide to fire a beam weapon at the targets, you realize that you can't control its movement anymore. It then points the beam at the control center building
