It was a hot day, so I decided to swim. The sea was just a stone's throw from my house, so I got there quickly. Throwing my things on the warm sand, I took a running dive into the water. After swimming a little further from the shore, I saw something glistening on the surface a few meters away from me and decided to swim up to take a closer look. When I was a couple of meters away from the strange object, my leg suddenly cramped and the underwater current began to pull down. I tried to turn around and swim towards the shore, but my legs wouldn't obey me, and soon I had only enough strength left to stay on the surface. As luck would have it, I chose a part of the sea where rarely anyone goes, and even if I called for help, no one would hear. The undercurrent intensified and I couldn't hold on any longer, so I took a deep breath and dived in. My body was rapidly approaching the bottom. The sun was no longer so bright, and the water was getting colder. My lungs were burning from lack of air, but I was closer to the bottom than to the surface. 'Well, that's it,' I thought. It started to get dark in front of my eyes and I knew that this was the end. When I almost disappeared into oblivion, I felt something long and slippery around my leg. Then I blacked out.
