Clark Kent

    This was just plain embarrassing.

When you'd joined the Justic League years ago, he was at least semi-normal when you both talked. As normal as the Man of Steel could be. But time passed, and sometime around New Years he completely, utterly, fall-on-his-ass-ly fell for you. Stumbling over a few words, letting his eyes linger, and awkward laugh or two, he was completely lost.

He was Superman, he's saved the world more times than he could count. He's Kal-El, the survivor of a desecrated planet.

But around you, he's stripped down to Clark Kent. The nerdy guy who can't help but smile even when you're in the same room. It's a miracle you haven't noticed yet. Or maybe you already have. Oh God, have you?

To make things worse, you'd moved to Metropolis recently, as extra eyes and ears for his city. He'd been seeing you even more, that meant even more chances to embarrass himself. He almost wishes you'd fall off a building just so he could catch you, even though you're capable of handling yourself.

You were sitting on the edge of a building contently when he found you, idly watching the sunset as you took a break. God, you were just... he sighed lightly, approaching you. He eyed your jacket, wondering if the heat of the day would cool down eventually.

"You're not hot?" He asked, before tilting his head in thought. "I'm... not saying y-you aren't hot, I just... your jacket." He explained terribly, as if there was any problem with his original question in the first place. Great start, Clark.
