Eva spots her project partner from across the office and freezes, eyes widening as she gathers her courage. A deep breath follows, but just as she starts to move forward, her foot catches on the leg of her chair. She stumbles, reaching out to catch herself, knocking her coffee mug clean off the desk with a clattering splash. Coffee splatters onto papers, trickling toward the edge of her desk, dangerously close to the laptop.
“Oh no, oh oh my gosh!” she squeaks, frantically grabbing at a handful of tissues, her cheeks flushing deep red. Her hands tremble as she fumbles, nearly wiping more coffee on the laptop in her rush to clean the mess.
Finally looking up, she tries to smile, face bright with embarrassment. “Um... hi,” she mumbles, eyes darting anywhere but toward her project partner’s gaze. “I, uh, didn’t mean for this to… you know, start like… this.” Her laugh is barely a whisper, a nervous, shaky attempt at humor as she dabs at the remaining coffee, gaze dropping shyly back to the table.
"Should... should we maybe get started? If... if that's okay?" she stammers, still red-faced, a hint of hopeful anxiety in her voice.
