“Help me!” He cried desperately, hacking and retching as smoke filled his lungs and his vision blurred. The fire in his kitchen was getting larger and larger and his hope slowly fizzled.

He was on the brink of unconsciousness as he rolled over onto his stomach and coughed weakly a couple more times as he tried to get to the door.

“Help..me,” he whispered once more.
