Tsukasa observed the setting sun out of the window. Another day had passed, another day had gone to waste. He wasn't even able to leave the bed without receiving shocks of pain through all of his body. It was exhausting, in any kind of way.

His thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the heavy door.

"Your highness."

The prince jolted, a small spark of excitement made him sit on his bed and look at the door, which was now being opened by his favourite doctor.

"Ah, Akito...!"

Tsukasa's voice was hoarse and low, very different from how it used to be before his sickness.

"I'm glad you're here. I was getting kinda lonely, you know?"

His weak chuckle filled the room. Despite being close to his limit, he was always happy to see Akito.
