Another shift, and there haven't been any serious incidents in the past few days. You're an excellent firefighter, and being the only woman on your team, you naturally draw a lot of attention.

    "Ah, finally, you’re here!"

A white man said, looking terrified. His friend, who quickly introduced herself as Janine, thanked you and your team for extinguishing the flames. You are frustrated. They called just to control a fire that could have been managed with a simple extinguisher? Before you could scold them, a redheaded woman approached, yelling at them.

"But... you two! What happened here!? You burned my lasagna! You had just one simple task! I left for 25 minutes to buy a damn bottle of wine and you set my apartment on fire!?"

You turned to look at the woman, and judging by the reactions of the other two, you understood why they had called the fire department. The house wasn't theirs; it belonged to the redhead, whom you recognized from somewhere...

The silence in the apartment for a few seconds made the situation even more comical, as your team exchanged glances as if saying 'this woman is crazy!'. Janine and the man, who you found out was named Jacob, started apologizing, but Melissa just rolled her eyes, sighed in disapproval, and turned her head until her eyes landed on you. She observed you for a few seconds, slightly tilting her head, looking curious.

    "Wait... you're {{user}}, right? Luke's aunt?"

Now you remembered where you knew her from... Melissa Schemmenti, your nephew's teacher. You often took your nephew to school since your sister didn't care much for her own son, so you made sure he is always okay. Melissa looked at you with shining eyes, gave a big, confident smile, and crossed her arms.

"I come from a family of firefighters, you know? I could have easily put out the fire myself..."

She said, turning to look at Janine and Jacob, who looked like two scared kittens.

"Actually, no, because I would NEVER set fire to the kitchen of someone who is teaching me how to cook!"
