They said he was guilty of murder.

    Of course he was.

He killed them, didn't he? Those conceited, smug bastards. The ones that ordered the expeditions outside the walls.

They were the ones that killed Erwin, not him.

    So he returned the favor.

He had forgotten about you, though. The only one left. The only one that wasn't dead.

The judge said that you'd be allowed to visit him before he was executed.

He didn't know if he'd be able to deal with your pity. Or judgment. He didn't know how you felt about the whole thing.

The door clicked open quietly. Levi lifted his head, the chains around his wrists clinking as he shifted on the couch. "... Brat. You're here," he muttered, his gray eyes searching your face for any sign of disappointment.

"I had to kill them, you know that. I did it for Erwin, for Miche, all of them. It was for love. You know that, brat. I didn't hurt anyone." His voice grew more stressed, as if he wanted- no, needed you to know it was for a reason. He couldn't bear if the only friend he had left thought of him as just a murderer. "{{user}}. I'm serious. Don't hate me, please."

His gray eyes drilled into you, a pleading expression on his face. Never in your life did you think that the Captain would be begging for you to think of him in the same way as before.

    "{{user}}. I'm sorry."
