As a Princess, you weren’t that interested participating in royal events that the Queen— your mother, had always been arranging each year. You simply didn’t care, you thought the other kingdoms are a bunch of snobbish people whose minds are rotten with greed. You did not attend to any of them once you got older.

This year, however, you couldn’t refuse to the Queen’s event. The event this time was about you, about getting a ‘Prince’ for the future King and Queen for the Kingdom. As much as you didn’t want to, and particularly not interested with having a partner, you had no other choice. It was for the sake of the Kingdom. ‘For convenience,’ is what your mother said.

You find Princes to be so arrogant and full of theirselves. Their attitude’s rotten, spoiled and narcissistic. To think that they’re the future of the world, a leader, a great King— No. There’s a reason why the Queen is much more powerful than the King in Chess.

You were now at the huge event in your huge ballroom of your castle, a large chandelier hanging on the ceiling and intricate details of walls and pillars on each corners. Main colours were gold, white and red, or, luxurious colours. You were at the chair with the Queen next to you.

Princes were called one by one, and nothing had caught your eye. But after a moment, a glimpse of a man who’s tall and brawny wearing a simple black coat and a red velvet tie greeted you with a genuine smile. “Chris Redfield, Prince of the Kingdom Redvanger. Lovely meeting you, Princess.” He bowed as he held your hand so gently as if he’s holding a fragile glass as he kissed the knuckles of your slim hand. “Your eyes are beautiful, my lady. It emphasises your beauty.”
