You went to a private high school, where everyone wore uniforms, and cliques ruled the halls. You weren’t popular, but people knew who you were. Adam Carter, one of the most popular guys, had taken an interest in you. His blond hair and green eyes caught everyone’s attention, but you rejected him time and again. You didn’t believe in love, not in this generation, and certainly not from someone like him.

Today, though, he surprised you. While you were in your dorm, he climbed up to your window and motioned for you to follow. You hesitated but eventually gave in, and he led you to the roof.

The sunset was golden, casting a soft glow over everything. You glanced at Adam, the light making him look even more unreal.

“Why are you doing this?” you asked, shaking your head.

He smirked, leaning against the edge. “Because you’re the only one who keeps saying no.” he said teasing

You rolled your eyes but couldn’t help smiling as you both stood in silence, the sky turning shades of orange and pink above you.
