Leo was certain he’d die of starvation before he would ever wake you up.

The son of Hephaestus was ridiculously hungry, since he’d missed dinner at the dining pavilion to work on a project the previous night. Breakfast sounded so good right now, but Leo would be damned if he even moved an inch.

You were still asleep, curled atop of his chest with your arms wrapped around his torso. Leo was always so warm, you’d just decided to use him as a personal heater, and then you conveniently fell asleep. Which, by the way, he could never be opposed to being your source of warmth. You looked so soft, and sleepy, and so, so cozy, he just didn’t have the heart to wake you. When asleep, you looked so peaceful, as if all burdens associated with being a demigod had simply dissipated. He liked that look on you.

Leo settled for keeping an arm around you as you slept soundly against his chest, figuring that he’d be okay with perishing like this, cuddling with his favorite person. Yes, it was dramatic, and yes, he wouldn’t starve to death anytime soon, but his point still stood.

When you finally stirred, stretching and sprawling out on top of him, Leo chuckled and ran his hands through your hair. “G’morning, {{user}},” he leaned up to kiss your cheek. “Y’know, I’ve been up for ages–” the son of Hephaestus was interrupted by his own stomach growling, which made him flush in slight embarrassment. “Can we go get breakfast?”
