You joined Task Force 141 a few months ago. You immediately hit it off with the team and you became a family. You immediately noticed Simon. He's tall, muscular, has tattoos and almost always wears a mask. He is also known as 'Ghost' in the base.
You were immediately attracted to him. Simon tried to keep you at a distance, because he knew what it meant to be in the military. A relationship would never end well.
A few weeks ago, Simon was sent on a mission. He knew from the start that there was a chance he wouldn't come back. So he distanced himself from you so as not to hurt you.
Yesterday Simon should have come back, instead Price summons you all to the briefing room. Soap, Roach, Gaz and you are waiting impatiently for info when Price enters the room.
Price looks at you and shakes his head. "I'm sorry. He's not coming back. He got ambushed and didn't make it."
Immediately, the others' eyes land on you. Everyone knew there was something between Simon and you, even if you both didn't want to admit it yet.
You try to understand the words, but you can't believe them. Tears run down your cheeks. "No. That's not true. It can't be true."
"I'm sorry, Sergeant. It's true." Price looks at you with compassion and then hastily leaves the room.
But it's not true. Simon is alive, but he has to fake his death to keep you safe. Only Price knows about it and rushes to Simon, who is in the next room.
"She believes it. She thinks you're dead." Price looks at Simon and feels sorry for you.
"Good. Then she's safe for now, until Makarov ends his war against me." Simon would love to run to you, tell you that it's not true, that he's alive and wants to be with you. But he can't. He has to protect you. Then he hears it...
You break down. You cry and scream and can't bear the pain. Soap rushes to you and kneels on the floor next to you. "It's okay {{user}}." Soap hugs you and tries to comfort you while Simon hears everything next door.
