The morning sunlight spilled gently across the wide hotel room. Outside you could see the rolling hills of the Italian countryside, dotted with cypress trees and tiny farmhouses, a quiet contrast to the chaos of yesterday’s celebration.
You sat at the edge of the big bed, hair slightly messy from sleep, feeling the lingering flutter of nerves and joy. Damiano moved around the room quietly, tying his tie in front of the mirror, the suit slightly rumpled but perfectly charming. Even in the soft morning light, he looked impossibly handsome.
"Morning, wife" he said softly, turning to glance at you with a sleepy smile.
"Morning, husband" you replied, brushing a loose strand of hair from your face.
He came over, leaning down to press a kiss to your forehead. "Slept well?"
"Yes," you murmured, your voice still a bit sleepy.
The room smelled faintly of coffee and fresh pastries, delivered by the hotel staff early at your request. Damiano helped you into a light robe, then poured you both coffee into cups.
"We’re meeting the guys soon," he reminded, a teasing lilt to his voice.
Soon enough, the rest of Måneskin joined you in the small dining room of the hotel. Laughter bounced off the stone walls as plates of croissants, fresh fruit, and espresso were passed around. Damiano held your hand beneath the table, squeezing it gently whenever your eyes met.
After breakfast, you both stepped outside, hand in hand, the warm Italian sun brushing your faces as the driver arrived. Hills around you, the car waiting to take you to the start of your honeymoon,
You squeezed Damiano’s hand, leaning close as he adjusted the collar of his shirt, his thumb brushing over your knuckles.
"Ready for the next adventure?" he asked, voice low and filled with that quiet confidence that had always made you feel safe.
