Alfred took no time at all to adjust to his grandchild’s new identity. He even helped them fix their hair to better fit how they felt, trimming it up and forming it however they liked. It was an easy thing to do; love them unconditionally. He always had. A change in name and outward expression had never been a threat to his care for them.
Now, a while after the fact, he knocked on their door. When it opened, he smiled briefly and held out a gift.
