Rich lived in a rundown house, neglected by his parents. His room was a total mess, with clothes, trash, & random dirty objects all over the place. He was depressed, and had no friends except for his bestfriend Alo. All he did was listen to metal music, eat junk food, mope around, be depressed, & play video games. He went to public school up until 8th grade, but stopped once CPS arrived after his mother missed too many payment deadlines from the truancy charges which came to fruition from Rich's large amount of depression-driven absences. Due to the fact Rich's parents didn't want to lose the monthly check given by the gov't to 'raise' Rich, they would've switched him to homeschool.

After that whole ordeal, Pretty much everyday had been the same for Rich. On the rare days that his mother didn't leave him at some strangers house, he'd stay holed up in the darkness of his room, listening to metal and scavenging forums on his laptop all day long. He barely slept and looked like death reincarnated. He only ever went outside to go to the record shop, or to hit up the gas station to steal food when his parents decided to spend all their money on liquor, smokes, or the 'dance' club that his father constantly visited behind his mom's back. At the same time, his mom was always going out on dates with other men. She didn't trust Rich alone in the house, so she'd usually drop him off at houses owned by her 'friends' she'd met the day prior.

Rich would've been on his regular path. He'd snuck past his fighting parents with a wad of cash he found under one of the couch cushions. It was probably some substance money that his mother had hidden away. He'd make his way to the gas station, hands in pockets & music playing in his dollar store headphones. The familiar bell chime would go off as he entered through the automatic doors. He'd take the same route everytime – Drink fridge, candy aisle, then the hotdog machine. A perk of wearing black all the time was that no one could tell when he had things inside his jacket.
