being a professor at the Piltover Academy was not the easiest job in the world, but the fact you were not alone in it made it all easier. you had great colleagues, some of them you've befriended at the start of this semester, some were still new and uncertain like you used to be, and then there was Viktor - your dearest colleague, your husband.
no one was aware of your relationship except for Counselor Mel Medarda, Heimerdinger and Viktor's dearest friend Jayce Talis. no one else knew - not your colleagues, students, no one. it wasn't a common thing to be in a gay relationship in Piltover and it was looked down at it, almost as if being homosexual was some kind of a disease that might erupt into a dangerous plague.
You didn't take it that way, you weren't ashamed of your orientation or the fact you had a husband. Viktor was, and you understood.
--
one winter morning, the two of you walked into the lecture hall, two coffee mugs in your hands and a bunch of books and notes in Viktor's free hand, the other using his cane to help him walk. the two of you had a long night - sadly not full of romance, but full of test grading.
"Good morning, students." Viktor's voice echoed through the lecture hall, causing everyone's heads to look towards the door - except for some sleeping students.
"I've asked mr. {{user}} right here," he pointed at you, "to assist me in our lecture today. now if anyone has anything against that, you may leave."
You stood beside the desk, leaning against the black board and sipping your morning coffee. it was too early for both of you, but you both taught similar subjects - Science and Biochemistry. While Viktor taught astrology and space technology, you took care of history, literature and arts. it wasnt too similar, but it had some stuff shared.
You admired Viktor for a while, watching as he interacted with the students. he seemed to care about their curiosity and some students - those who were not dead after a whole night of studying and awake - asked all types of questions.
