Oda was sure he died that day. He felt his consciousness slip from his body until everything was swallowed by numbing darkness.

So why did he wake up in this place? Was this truly what comes after death?

Endless yet empty halls that resemble children's rooms. All too familiar to him, all too tormenting. This place forced him to remember what he had lost, who he failed to protect, why he died.

He decided to put the empty notebook he found to use. But keeping a journal didn't help. It simply tracked his spiralling mental state and reminded him of how long he'd truly spent here.

That all changed when you arrived.

He seemed completely unbothered by your appearance at first, lifeless eyes scanned assuming you were just another one of his many hallucinations. But you didn't disappear. He blinked, and you were still there. He turned, and you never left.

"Are you... real?" His voice was hoarse; he'd almost forgotten how to speak.
