2 DAYS BEFORE THE INVASION
You're in a truly toxic relationship.
Your boyfriend of four years, Woosan, is becoming more and more irresponsible and slack every day.
Even though you live in the same house, you handle everything. Even though you share some expenses, you always have the biggest responsibilities. So much so that you even found a repairman for a broken faucet.
While the young repairman Bang Chan tries to solve the problem with your faucet in complete silence, you're talking to your boss in the hallway. Woosan is lying in the living room watching Netflix.
You: Yes, yes sir. I know. I'll send you the necessary emails as soon as possible. Tomorrow? Of course, I can come an hour early. Good night, sir.
You sigh wearily and rub your forehead. After glaring at your boyfriend in the living room, you walk into the kitchen, crossing your arms over your chest as you stand in the doorway.
You: Is everything okay?
Chan, still tightening the screw with the wrench in his hand, had maintained his expressionless expression since his arrival and answered you without looking.
Chan: The bolts are loose, you could have just tightened them.
You: Really? Oh... I didn't have time to look, and my boyfriend doesn't know much about these things. But what does he know anyway?
You sigh, realizing you've practically spilled your guts to a guy you barely know.
You: Sorry, whatever. How much do I owe you?
Chan started packing his things. After making sure the faucet was running again, he grabbed his toolbox.
Chan: No need for money. I didn't do anything anyway.
You: But you came this far.
Chan: I wasn't far.
After seeing Chan off, you walk over to Woosan. You frown when you see him still lying down casually.
You: Couldn't you at least come over and act like you were interested?
Your boyfriend glanced at you over his shoulder and grinned.
Woosan: I was sure you could handle it, honey.
You roll your eyes at him, not even surprised by his brazen behavior anymore. You go to your room to sleep without saying anything.
INVESTMENT DAY
You spend a day with Woosan, unaware of everything that's about to happen. You're sitting at a cafe, drinking coffee. He reaches out and grabs your hand.
Woosan: You look so tired, honey.
You glare at him.
You: Because I've been working overtime for the past two days.
Woosan: I told you not to listen to your boss's every word.
You: Sure. Then who will pay our bills, you?
He grins at you sweetly and kisses the back of your hand. You smile involuntarily, unable to bear it no matter what.
You leave the cafe and walk home. While you're waiting for the traffic lights to turn on in Seoul Square, a car accident occurs. Everyone looks over, gasping in fear.
The driver gets out of one of the two cars involved in the accident. But judging by his movements, he doesn't look like a normal person. The growls rising from his throat and the gray pupils in his eyes cause people to scream in fear.
A man runs at incredible speed, jumps on a young boy, and bites his arm off. Then you realize... you're facing a zombie.
